Two words: Tuba Christmas. Every year, tuba players gather in cities across the world to play Christmas music. I have participated in Erie's Tuba Christmas since 2003 and more recently, the Pymatuning lakeland area hosts a concert of its own.  Costumes encouraged, of course.

What could be better than a crisp fall morning in the woods of Crawford County. We are very fortunate to live in a County with almost 10,000 acres of game lands and even more publicly accessible greenspace.  I like to tell folks that I'm the "Best Worst Hunter": not much in the skill department, but always a good attitude!

Music has been a formative part of my life, from beginning band at Alice Shafer Elementary to my continued participation in the Allegheny College Wind Symphony.

While Pymatuning State Park is still my favorite, Katie & I have had the chance to visit 139 out of 144 Pennsylvania State Parks & Forests in a years-long journey that has taken us to all 67 Pennsylvania counties. Adventuring through the wilds of Pennsylvania has given me a deep appreciation for the beauty and natural diversity our Commonwealth has to offer.
