Love of Community

The fabric of Crawford County is woven through with numerous organizations that are the lifeblood of the community. They enhance our quality of life and connect us to one another.

Crawford County has a rich arts and culture tradition, from the stage to the concert hall. One piece of that rich history is the Academy Theatre in downtown Meadville. Not only have I tread the boards on the Academy stage, but also at Meadville Community Theatre, Meadville Council on the Arts, and Shafer Auditorium at Allegheny College.

A rising tide lifts all boats, and everyone wins when goals are shared. In this instance, I joined with other members of Pine Masonic Lodge in Linesville in supporting the Meadville Corps of the Salvation Army to raise much needed funds to benefit the most vulnerable in our community.

The Rotary motto of "Service Above Self" is one that I value strongly. I strive to follow it in all areas of my life, particularly in my service to my community. Fundraisers like the Meadville Rotary Club sausage booth at the Crawford County Fair have raised thousands of dollars for other local organizations and non-profits.
